Putin called the western lands of Poland "a gift from Stalin"

He remembered the counteroffensive, Poland and Stalin

On July 21, Putin spoke on federal channels about the Russian-Ukrainian war, which he "modestly" calls the "Ukrainian conflict": he mentioned the allegedly "huge" losses of the Armed Forces, boasted about the decline of pro-Ukrainian sentiment in the West, and at the end revealed Poland's intentions to occupy part of Ukraine.

In particular, Putin admitted that the Western weapons supplied by the Armed Forces "cause" the Russian occupiers "certain damages".

"Yes, Western weapons can still be installed and thrown into battle. This is causing us some damage and prolonging the "conflict," Putin said.

Moreover, the Russian president spoke about the growth of pro-Russian sentiments within Ukraine itself.

"People in Ukraine increasingly have a completely legitimate question: for whose selfish interests are their relatives and loved ones dying. Gradually, slowly, but sobriety is coming," the Kremlin leader claims.

The President of Russia accused the "transoceanic global hegemon" of prolonging the so-called "Ukrainian conflict".

In addition, the head of the Kremlin in his speech mentioned the report that the creation of a Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian union is allegedly being discussed. He saw in this a "threat of occupation of Western Ukraine" and declared that it "will not be something new", recalling a number of events of the XNUMXth century.

"I want to remind you how such an aggressive policy ended for Poland. It ended with the tragedy of 1939, when Poland was abandoned by the Western Allies to the German war machine and it actually lost its independence and sovereignty, which it regained to a large extent thanks to the USSR. And thanks to the Soviet Union, thanks to Stalin's position, Poland received significant lands in the West, the lands of Germany. That's right, the western territories of modern Poland are Stalin's gift to the Poles," said the Russian president.
