Corruption scheme for embezzlement of budget funds exposed investigators of the Desnyanskyi Police Department of Kyiv, together with operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department and under the procedural guidance of the Desnyanskyi District Prosecutor's Office.
According to the pre-trial investigation, the 59-year-old head of one of the municipal non-profit primary health care enterprises concluded a contract with a private company in 2023 to carry out major repairs to a children's clinic on Vygurivsky Boulevard in the capital. The repair work was carried out in the premises of a six-story building, and almost 18 million 300 thousand hryvnias were allocated from the city budget for their implementation.
However, the investigation proved that the head of the state institution entered into a collusion with the contracting organization and subsequently signed acceptance certificates for the completed work, despite the fact that they were not completed in full, of poor quality, and with an inflated cost of the construction materials used.
Expert research confirmed the unjustified transfer of about 1,3 million hryvnias from the city budget to the contractor.

Investigators of the Desnyanskyi police department informed the Kyiv resident of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - embezzlement of another's property by an official abusing his official position, under martial law, on a particularly large scale. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.
