Georgia may be the first to be affected by the new rules

EU ambassadors have agreed to ease the suspension of visa liberalization with third countries. It is reported that Georgia may be the first country to which the new rule will be applied. This was reported by Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak on social media. Twitter.

"EU ambassadors have just given the green light to ease the suspension of visa liberalization," — Jozwiak stated.

According to him, on November 17, the foreign ministers of the European Union countries are to approve the agreement, and a signing ceremony of the relevant document in the European Parliament is scheduled for November 26.

He also noted that the new mechanism should come into effect in December.

Jozvyak also reported that the agreed mechanism could be used against certain groups of Georgian passport holders soon.
