Ukrainian energy workers have begun restoring the Centrenergo thermal power plants, which were shut down due to massive Russian strikes. Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grinchuk announced this during a conversation with journalists.
She clarified that under the management of Centrenergo there are two TPPs - Zmiivska and Trypilska.
"There was indeed damage. Colleagues have already started restoration and repairs. We will not disclose the successes we plan, but restoration work is underway," — the minister noted.
Grinchuk added that against the backdrop of war, there are very often cases when the operation of an energy facility stops. This happens even in manual mode, so that there is no additional damage. Only after analyzing the debris can energy workers determine the condition of the equipment, whether it is possible to restore it and which elements need to be replaced.
"Unfortunately, the Centrenergo thermal power plants have stopped operating several times since the beginning of the war, then repairs were carried out - they were restored, and then again (in a circle - ed.)", — the head of the Ministry of Energy drew attention.
