Despite quarrel with Zelensky, US will not give up on attempts to end war, — Bloomberg

Zelensky USA

The administration of US President Donald Trump will not give up on trying to end the war in Ukraine. But after a quarrel between leaders in the White House, direct contact with Volodymyr Zelensky will probably be avoided. This is reported by Bloomberg.

The Trump administration adviser said that too much has been invested in trying to reach an agreement to end the war to abandon it now. Instead, the US will likely sharply increase pressure on Ukraine and avoid direct contact with Zelensky, the source said.

Analysts suggest that the dispute between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump “could lead to consequences.” It could likely be an audit of American aid provided to Ukraine so far or similar action, although that does not necessarily rule out any negotiations.

However, there are also more radical views within Trump’s team. Another Bloomberg interlocutor close to the Trump administration said that Joe Biden’s presidency had “spoiled” Zelensky’s expectations that the American people would continue to fund the war.

The publication adds that Europe will collectively try to “pick up the pieces” after the Oval Office row. One European official told Bloomberg that “Trump decided to sell out Ukraine.” Several other European officials called the Oval Office debacle an ambush.

As a reminder, on February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Washington. During the conversation between Zelensky, Trump, and US Vice President J.D. Vance There was a verbal altercation. regarding the war and Ukraine's alleged "ingratitude".
