More than 40% of the Ukrainian military's armament is domestically produced. Ukrainian systems are not inferior to foreign ones and are created for the real needs of war. This was stated by the head of the Defense Ministry's GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, in Telegram.
Budanov congratulated Ukrainian gunsmiths on their professional holiday, which is celebrated on April 13.
"Ukrainian gunsmiths are the smiths of victory, specialists who, through precise engineering calculations, create a force that dictates the rules of the game on the battlefield. It is their developments that allow military intelligence to act accurately, decisively, and ahead of schedule," — the head of the GUR noted.
He emphasized that modern Ukrainian weapons are a synthesis of ingenuity, combat experience, and incredible adaptability. Domestic weapons are not only not inferior to foreign ones, but are also created for the needs of the war, changing along with its course.
Budanov said that the MAGURA V5 naval drones have become a symbol of a new era of naval operations. They have made it possible to deliver powerful strikes against the enemy fleet where it was previously considered impossible - even in ports and raids.
The Lyuty and Bober strike drones operate behind enemy lines, the Bogdan artillery systems provide maneuverability and firepower in the hottest spots on the front, and the Sych and Rubaka drones allow you to see and strike the enemy dozens of kilometers deep.
"Today, more than 40% of the Defense Forces' weapons are Ukrainian-made products. This is an indicator that Ukraine is capable of being a valuable defense partner of the democratic world. At a time when the borders of Europe have once again become front lines, it is Ukrainian weapons that have become a shield for the security of the entire European community," — stressed Budanov.
