Poland extended the stay of Ukrainian refugees until the end of June

President Andrzej Duda signed the law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine

The stay of Ukrainian refugees in Poland was extended until June 30 this year. The relevant law was signed by President Andrzej Duda. It is reported PAP.

"President Andrzej Duda signed the law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine, which, in particular, extends the term of legal stay of Ukrainian military refugees until June 30, 2024." - says the message.

The law was adopted in accordance with the decision of the EU Council to extend the temporary protection of Ukrainian refugees until March 4, 2025. Among other things, the law provides for the extension of the legality of stay of Ukrainian military refugees until June 30 of this year.

According to the current provisions of the law, the stay of citizens of Ukraine is legal if they arrived in Poland between February 24, 2022 and March 4, 2024.

In addition, the document introduces changes that increase to 28 months the period during which, in particular, a citizen of Ukraine who obtained the qualification of a doctor or dentist outside the territory of the EU member states, a permit to practice a profession may be granted of a doctor or dentist and the conditional right to practice the profession of a doctor or dentist.
