In the Cherkasy region, the police started a criminal investigation into the beating of a former serviceman. As reported the The communication department of the police of the Cherkasy region, a fight involving a former military serviceman and a Hyundai driver appeared on social networks.
Law enforcement officers identified the participants in the incident and the circumstances of the conflict.
In particular, a conflict on the road between vehicle drivers occurred on September 3 near the village of Rotmystrivka. As the police established, on the eve of the incident, the parents of a former serviceman were driving in one of the cars, and residents of Smila were driving in the other. The conflict arose because one of the drivers created an emergency situation.
"The parents told their son, a former soldier, about what happened, and also indicated that they saw a car that "cut them off" in the village of Tashlyk. So the son decided to deal with the driver, however, when he arrived at the place, he did not find the driver. Instead, he removed the state license plate from the vehicle and wrote a post on a social network asking for help in identifying the owner. After seeing the information on social networks, the Hyundai driver contacted the man and arranged a meeting for him, during which the conflict between them escalated into a fight." - noted the police.
At the same time, police officers of the response sector of the patrol police quickly arrived at the scene. They interviewed the participants and called an ambulance. A 37-year-old man, one of the participants in the fight, refused hospitalization.
In this regard, under the procedural guidance of the Smilyan District Prosecutor's Office, the investigators entered information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under part 1 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It is also said that additional qualification of the event is possible during the pre-trial investigation.
At the same time, as reported by the Cherkasy media "18000", former military serviceman Anatoly Goncharenko was beaten by Vadym Dolotenko, who is involved in a number of criminal proceedings. These cases are related, in particular, to the infliction of bodily harm, as well as robberies.
The material says that the actions of Vadym Dolotenko were recorded on video. He first hits the soldier twice, and then forces Honcharenko to "apologize" for his alleged disgrace to all of Smila.
According to the publication, in one of the criminal proceedings against Dolotenko, the investigation has been completed and a sentence has even been handed down. In March 2024, the Smilya City District Court issued a verdict in the case of a robbery that took place in Smilya in 2020. Dolotenko was sentenced to a year in prison, however, this sentence was changed to a suspended term.
