Law enforcement officers established that in July 2023, a 51-year-old official of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council received the second group of disability on the basis of fictitious documents, which contained false information about the presence of his disease. The crime was exposed by investigators of the Kyiv Police Headquarters together with employees of the SBU Main Directorate in Kyiv and Kyiv region. About this reported the National Police of Ukraine.
During a search of the workplace of the person involved – the director of one of the Kyiv City State Administration Departments, police seized medical documentation in his name.
Investigators under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office have charged the perpetrator with suspicion under Parts 1, 3 and 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - forgery and use of official documents issued by an enterprise, institution, organization, committed by a group of persons in a prior conspiracy. The maximum penalty, according to the sanction of the article, is up to five years of imprisonment.
The investigation is currently identifying other individuals who assisted the official in obtaining a fictitious disability group, with the aim of bringing them to criminal responsibility.
