The PACE adopted a resolution on the political consequences of the Russian aggression against Ukraine

The resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the political consequences of the Russian aggression against Ukraine was adopted by 80 votes

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution on the political consequences of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Yevgenia Kravchuk, deputy head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, said this on her page in Facebook.

"The resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the political consequences of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine was adopted by 80 votes!" Kravchuk reported.

PACE fully supports the Peace Plan of President Zelensky, as well as the following revolutionary points:

  • calls on the member states of the Council of Europe, which are NATO members, to support Ukraine's membership in NATO;
  • condemns the destruction of the Kakhovskaya dam on June 6, 2023, which confirms the barbarity of Putin's military machine and is a war crime and ecocide;
  • supports President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's peace formula and welcomes the creation of the Register of Damages Caused by the Russian Federation's Aggression;
  • confirms that the Russian leadership recklessly threatens nuclear war and uses the occupation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP for the purpose of blackmail in violation of the Convention on Nuclear Safety and the safeguards regime of the IAEA, of which Russia is a member;
  • will continue to make efforts to create an international compensation mechanism and a Special Tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression, as well as to increase sanctions pressure and international isolation of the aggressor state;
  • notes that international responsibility should extend to all private military companies, puppets and allies of the Russian Federation that commit crimes on the territory of Ukraine, including groups of PMC "Wagner" and Kadyrov's armed forces;
  • calls for the creation of a public register of companies and individuals who work in the interests of Russia and who are involved in the circumvention of sanctions.

The deputy head of the "Servant of the People" parliamentary faction also emphasized that the adoption of the resolution was another manifestation of solidarity with Ukraine.
