Pope Leo XIV once again addressed the Ukrainian people, stating that our faith is now undergoing a difficult test.
"To believe does not mean to have all the answers, but to hope that God is with us and gives us His grace," he emphasized.
In addition, in two publications in X (Twitter) He stated that faith also lies in the fact that the Lord will have the last word, and that “life will triumph over death.” And that he expresses closeness to all who suffer in Ukraine, including the elderly, children, and youth.
"Especially to the families mourning their loved ones. I share your pain for the prisoners and victims of this senseless war," — he added.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to these publications, thanking the Pope for his words, constant prayers and compassion for the Ukrainian people.
"Together we must stop this arbitrary Russian aggression and protect innocent lives. A just peace is needed. We will also be deeply grateful for your help in returning all of our people — adults and children — who are being held in Russian captivity against their will," — the head of state noted on X (Twitter).
