On Sunday, the Russian Foreign Ministry, which is an ally of the Syrian regime, issued a statement saying that Assad had left the presidency and Syria.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock emphasized that after Assad, Syria should not fall into the hands of other radicals.
