Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán said that his country will use the right of veto if the European Union tries to introduce sanctions related to the nuclear energy industry of the Russian Federation.
"Where it does not affect Hungary's vital interests, we will not obstruct EU sanctions. But with regard to oil, gas and nuclear energy, Hungary will veto them," Orbán said.
In addition, the Hungarian prime minister once again said that the sanctions imposed against Russia allegedly "do not help Ukraine to liberate its territory."
"Brussels sanctions do not help the Ukrainians, they do not force the Russians to retreat, but they cause us terrible damage to Europe, to the European economy, including Hungary," Orban claims.
