Against the backdrop of Russian strikes, efforts will be made to postpone the heating season as much as possible. This was stated by People's Deputy and former Minister of Housing and Communal Services Oleksiy Kucherenko in the program "Superposition".
"We have to face the truth - there will be problems with gas, given the recent strikes on production. There are problems with the gas balance and we will not have enough of it. They will save gas. Accordingly, the later they enter the heating season, the less they will burn. And therefore, by right and wrong, they will postpone the start of the heating season," — he said.
Kucherenko also commented on the violent reaction of society to the latest shelling. In his opinion, many people perceive the situation irrationally.
"The war is coming! We have already forgotten the years 2022-2023, and what were the winters like then? Last year there were almost no strikes on the energy sector, and many people relaxed. There was a very nervous reaction to the fact that yesterday (October 10) there were interruptions in electricity, water, and transport. Let's go to Maidan again... Unfortunately, we are at war, and the enemy is very powerful. The heating season is just beginning. We need to work on ourselves psychologically," — the People's Deputy said.
