The ruling coalition in Germany agreed on an amendment to the legislation, which should facilitate access to the labor market for refugees. It is reported dpa.
According to sources, the members of the coalition - Social Democrats, "Greens" and "Free Democrats" - agreed among themselves on the project of changes to the legislation.
It stipulates that people with temporary residence permits (who technically have to leave the country but cannot be deported for certain reasons) must be allowed to work.
According to official data, by the end of 2022 there were about 248 such persons.
In addition, the current work ban for refugees living in refugee reception centers should be reduced from 9 to 6 months.
At the same time, the new rules will not apply to people who have submitted "manifestly unfounded" applications for asylum, or who have insufficiently confirmed their identity.
Proponents of such changes argue that in this case these immigrants are transformed from welfare recipients into taxpayers, and the market receives additional workers for areas where there is a shortage.
