The head of the Bavarian CSU opposition party in the Bundestag, Alexander Dobrindt, called for the deportation of unemployed Ukrainian refugees from Germany. Writes the publication ZDF.
"More than two years after the start of the war, the principle must now be applied: get a job in Germany or return to the safe areas of western Ukraine." He said.
The opposition politician also criticized the fact that too many people in Germany receive social assistance at the expense of taxpayers' money.
"We need stronger co-operation commitments for asylum seekers when it comes to employment. There must be a job offer and it must be part of the integration service.” Dobrindt pointed out.
The oppositionist's demand was sharply criticized by representatives of the government coalition. The deputy leader of Chancellor Scholz's Social Democrats parliamentary faction, Dirk Wiese, said in an interview with Bild that the CSU should be ashamed of such demands and "remove the letter "X" from your name once and for all, meaning "Christian".
"Putin continues to bomb targets throughout Ukraine. Now Dobrindt also wants to send there women and children who may have already lost their parents at the front." He declared.
