At night, Odesa experienced another attack by Shaheds. Residential buildings were again damaged, this time in the Primorsky district.
According to the consolidated information of the defense forces of southern Ukraine, the enemy attacked the southern regions of the "Shahed-131/136" type UAVs in two waves at night.
"Air defense forces managed to shoot down 11 kamikaze drones: 10 in Odesa region, 1 in Mykolaiv region.
The enemy used tried-and-tested tactical tricks — entered from the sea area at low altitudes, resorted to complex maneuvers," — says the message.
Unfortunately, the downed drones followed an inertial trajectory and flew to residential areas. One of them, having hit a partially occupied multi-story new building in Khadzhibey district of Odessa, caused a fire. Several apartments were damaged, one person received burns and was hospitalized.
Another affected drone fell through the roof of a two-story residential building in the city's Primorye district. Another UAV fell in the same residential area, next to an apartment building damaged in the previous attack. The blast wave caused a lot of damage to the glazing of the surrounding houses, a car parked in the yard was burnt to the ground, and several others were damaged.
Four people were injured, they were treated on the spot and are being treated on an outpatient basis. Rescuers unblocked one of the victims from under the rubble.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to avoid the hits. The enemy targeted the warehouse of a furniture factory in the industrial district of Odessa. A powerful fire broke out due to a large amount of flammable substances. A man who was riding a bicycle nearby was thrown to the ground by the shock wave and was injured by fragments of various objects scattered by the explosion. Medical assistance was provided, he is being treated on an outpatient basis.
