On the night of September 6, Russia struck Ukraine with air and ground-based missiles, as well as attack drones. The invaders launched 33 air targets:
- 7 X-101/X-555/X-55 air-launched missiles fired from nine Tu-95ms strategic aircraft from the Engels area;
- 1 "Iskander-M" ballistic missile;
- 25 attack UAVs of the "Shahed-136/131" type were launched by Russian terrorists from the southeastern and southern directions (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Chauda).
Destroyed by the air defense forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the Air Defense Forces of the Defense Forces of Ukraine 23 air targets:
- 7 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles;
- 1 "Iskander-M" ballistic missile;
- 15 attack UAVs of the "Shahed-136/131" type.
The Russian army carried out a combined attack on Kyiv. The invaders launched cruise and probably ballistic missiles.

"Another missile attack by the enemy on a peaceful city with the aim of killing the civilian population and destroying the infrastructure. And again, the attack is not simple, but combined. Previously, the occupiers fired cruise missiles of the Kh-95/101/555 type from the Saratov region, from Tu-55MS strategic aircraft. At the same time, missiles of a different type, probably ballistic, were launched over Kyiv. All enemy targets moving towards the capital were destroyed by air defense forces and means. According to data at the moment, there are no casualties or destruction in Kyiv."

As a result of an attack by enemy UAVs on Odessa region one person died, as well as recorded destruction of objects. The enemy directed kamikaze drones at Odesa. The attack lasted about three hours, the occupiers attacked the Izmail district.
"Destruction and fires have been recorded in several settlements. Objects of the port and agricultural infrastructure were damaged: elevators, administrative buildings, agricultural enterprises," said Kiper, the head of OVA.
In addition, he reported the death of one person.
"Unfortunately, one person died. The employee of the agricultural enterprise, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital," Kiper said.
