British Prime Minister Boris Johnson wrote in the column The mail, that the next few months will be difficult for Britain due to Russian aggression. But he is confident in the victory of the Ukrainian people and the restoration of Great Britain.
Johnson warned citizens that energy bills will be high this year.
"This is what Putin's war is costing British consumers. This is why your electricity bill doubles. I'm afraid Putin knows this. He likes it. And he wants us to curl up. He believes that soft European politicians do not have the courage to fight - that next winter we will rush into the sponge, lift sanctions and ask for Russian oil and gas," wrote Johnson.
Putin believes that Britain will get tired of supporting Ukraine and will begin to subtly encourage Ukrainians to make a deal with the Kremlin.
"That would be complete madness. The Ukrainian people can and will win in this brutal arms race. And Britain too," stressed Boris Johnson.
