People's deputies of Ukraine are dissatisfied with the legislative norms according to which they are charged a pension. Therefore, they turned to the Constitutional Court with a request to change these norms. If this happens, the parliamentarians will receive a pension of at least UAH 29.
Journalists drew attention to the constitutional submission, which was submitted to the Constitutional Court on June 13, 2024. The document was signed by 56 people's deputies and it contains 49 pages. The text indicates that according to the current laws, they receive a pension in the amount of 60% of the salary of current people's deputies. At the same time, payments are indexed, but not recalculated, as for other citizens.
According to the authors of the submission, this violates their constitutional rights. They propose to update a number of laws and pensions will be transferred to them. In addition, according to the article, there will be an opportunity to demand compensation from the state for underpaid funds.
According to estimates published on the portal, people's deputies will have a pension that will increase to UAH 29. The size of the increase is UAH 10.
