NABU and SAPO have declared suspicion against a People's Deputy of Ukraine who was a co-organizer of a group involved in the embezzlement of funds from JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" during the purchase of cable and wire products. About this reported the NABU.
According danimi Media, we are talking about MP Viktor Bondar (non-factional).
The investigation revealed that the suspect, together with the entrepreneur, created a scheme to supply products to JSC Ukrzaliznytsia at inflated prices. To implement the plan, they conspired with members of another organized group, which included an official of UZ.
Members of the second organized group, acting as the company's unofficial "back office," controlled its activities and ensured that companies controlled by the entrepreneur won procurement contracts for a percentage of the amount of the deals.
In 2021-2022, these companies won tenders for the supply of cable and wire products for UZ. NABU notes that, thanks to the assistance of Ukrzaliznytsia officials, the companies' actions were coordinated during the bidding, the expected cost was artificially inflated, which led to the conclusion of contracts for the supply of products at inflated prices.
As a result of the scheme, Ukrzaliznytsia suffered losses in the amount of over UAH 140 million, which the participants in the crime took possession of and disposed of at their own discretion.
The actions of the group's co-organizer were qualified under Part 3 of Article 27, Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In total, 8 persons were reported suspicious based on the above facts.
In another episode of the case regarding the activities of the aforementioned organized groups, 94,8 individuals were reported on suspicion of embezzling UAH 7 million from transformers during the war.
