Derzhavna prikordonna service of Ukraine said about temporary restrictions on the operation of the Shehyny - Medyka checkpoint on the border with Poland due to repair work that affects throughput.
On the Polish side, road works are ongoing at the Medika checkpoint, which is why until 20:00 on July 3, the passage of passenger cars to enter Poland (exit Ukraine) is carried out in only two lanes, and the throughput is reduced to five cars per hour. On the Ukrainian side, reconstruction is underway at the Shehyny checkpoint: the old road surface is being dismantled and engineering networks are being laid, which also complicates traffic.
Border guards recommend that travelers choose alternative checkpoints, including "Rava-Ruska", "Smilnytsia", and "Nyzhankovychi", which are currently less busy.
