The 112 Ukraine mobile application has received a new update that expands the possibilities of communication with emergency services. The application now includes functions for video calling to the operator and automatic geolocation transmission, which allows you to more quickly determine the location of the incident and provide assistance more quickly.
Two new features have been added:
- video call to the operator
- automatic transmission of geolocation to the 112 Service
It's about speed. It's about accuracy. And it's about help.
Now users can make a video call to a 112 operator who speaks sign language. This is important for people with hearing and speech impairments - they will be able to explain the situation and ask for help on their own.
Another update is automatic transmission of geolocation. In a critical situation, a person may not know the exact address or be unable to provide it. Accurate coordinates allow you to determine the location of the incident much faster.
User data is protected. The application complies with government cybersecurity standards and uses information exclusively for handling emergency calls.
Since launch, the app has received over 9,2 thousand requests, and the number of downloads exceeded 326 thousands.
This confirms that the digital communication channel with the 112 Service has already become an important tool for assistance.
