"We won": Trump declares the de facto end of the war with Iran

US President Donald Trump has declared that the US has effectively won the war against Iran. Now the only question is when exactly the fighting will end. This is reported by CNN.

"I think we're in very good shape. The main thing is that we have to win this case, win quickly, but win," Trump told reporters.

According to him, many commentators already consider the conflict to be over, and now the only question is when the US will stop the operation.

The US President also stated that he does not want to allow the threat from Iran to resurface.

He suggested that a new leadership should emerge in the country, capable of rebuilding the state.

"We don't want to let this grow back, and ideally we would like to see someone who knows what they are doing - in other words, who can build the country," Trump noted.

During a speech in Kentucky on March 11, the US president addressed his supporters with a statement that the war effectively ended at the beginning of the operation.

"We won. We won, it was all over in the first hour," — he stated without providing specific evidence.

At the same time, the Trump administration is expressing different assessments regarding the duration of military operations.

The American president himself did not answer journalists' questions about whether he still believes it is possible to end the war within four weeks.
