American billionaire Elon Musk said that he did not give instructions to his specialists to turn off the Starlink satellite network near the coast of occupied Crimea, because the network was not working anyway, and he rejected Ukraine's request to activate it, because he did not want to escalate the conflict.
"We received an urgent request from the state authorities of Ukraine to activate Starlink all the way to Sevastopol. Apparently the aim was to sink most of the Russian fleet at anchor. If I agreed to fulfill their request, then SpaceX would become a clear complicit in a major military act and the escalation of the conflict," Musk said.
