French President Emmanuel Macron believes his American counterpart Donald Trump has realized that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has been deceiving him. This is reported by BFM TV.
During a tour of Southeast Asia, Macron called for “preserving a rules-based order” in a global context of “serious imbalances.” After all, according to him, the war in Ukraine “destabilizes Asia,” not just Europe.
The French president also said that he believed Trump "realized" that Putin had "deceived" him.
"I believe President Trump has realized that when President Putin told him he was ready for peace, he was lying," Macron emphasized and called for "as long a ceasefire as possible."
He emphasized: "What is happening in Ukraine is unacceptable and extremely serious."
"You can't declare readiness for negotiations and bomb at the same time. Such double rhetoric demonstrates the insincerity of any statements about dialogue," — added Macron.
