On Monday, October 6, employees of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recorded a series of shots in the area of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). According to the agency, the shots were fired at a distance of about 1,25 km from the perimeter of the plant. About this reported in the IAEA post on the social network X.
The official statement by the agency's director general, Rafael Grossi, states that several series of incoming and outgoing shelling were recorded in the area surrounding the ZNPP.
"Two series hit 1,25 km from the perimeter of the plant. The shelling increases the risks to nuclear safety at the ZNPP, which has been without external power supply for almost two weeks," - says the post.
