The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, called for a ban on the export of ammunition from Europe to countries other than Ukraine. This is due to the acute shortage of shells in the Ukrainian army. It is reported RND.
"All contracts for the export of ammunition produced in Europe to third countries must be terminated, and all such ammunition must be sent to Ukraine. Every cartridge made in Europe must serve the purpose of protecting Europe." - he said.
In addition, Kuleba blamed the Western allies for the lack of ammunition.
"I complain about the lack of ammunition at every meeting with our partners. They all know this and have made mistakes that they admit. They decided late to increase their own production, enter into long-term contracts and launch new production lines. Unfortunately, we are now paying for these mistakes. - added the minister.
He also indicated that every effort is being made to ensure that ammunition is purchased by European states in third countries and provided to Ukraine.
