The Ukrainian military will start receiving projectiles at the initiative of the Czech Republic "in the foreseeable future." At the same time, other initiatives on this issue are currently being considered. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, at a joint meeting press conference with his Moldovan colleague Mihai Popshoi on March 13.
"This week we will have contacts with our Czech colleagues, where they will present in detail the supply plan and how it will all work. We are ready for full cooperation and assistance," — he said.
The minister added that the Ukrainian military will feel an increase in the supply of projectiles already "in the foreseeable future."
"That means it won't take many months. But the Czech initiative is expected to be implemented throughout the year. That is, the first part of the shells will begin to arrive in the foreseeable future. And then, during the year, new batches will continue to arrive." Kuleba said.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also added that as for other initiatives, "they exist."
"In particular, during the meeting in Vilnius, we discussed one of these initiatives. I called to start collecting funds for her as well today. Because everyone should remember one thing: it doesn't work in the way that we collected funds for the Czech initiative, exhaled and said: "We did everything." The Czech initiative is good, but not enough. That's why the issue of the Czech initiative was closed today, and the financial issues of other such initiatives should be closed tomorrow. They exist and we know about them, all that is missing is a financial resource," — explained Kuleb's mechanism.
He also noted that if, in addition to the Czech initiative, two more similar initiatives are implemented this year, "the occupiers in Ukraine will experience more significant problems at the front."
