Russia sent its "signal" to the United States.

The Kremlin believes that the call for a ceasefire in Ukraine is perceived as "an attempt to give the Ukrainian Armed Forces time to rearm." Russia has transmitted its "signal" to the United States. This was reported by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, quoted by RIA News.

"We see this as an attempt to give respite to the Ukrainian troops, who are currently going through difficult times. The Russian army is advancing in all directions, and in this situation we can consider (the ceasefire) as an opportunity for the rearmament and regrouping of the Ukrainian military," - said Ushakov.

An aide to the Russian president said that Russia has conveyed its "concerns" to the United States. According to him, contacts between Russia and the United States are ongoing, but not at the level of presidents.

He also added that a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will be organized as soon as the need arises. Ushakov claims that it can be held quite quickly.
