The Kremlin has announced a key prerequisite for negotiations between Putin and Zelensky

war

The Kremlin said that a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin is possible, but only if certain agreements are reached. About this informed Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the talks held in Istanbul.

"As a result of the work of the delegations of the two sides, upon reaching certain agreements, we consider it possible," he declared.

Peskov emphasized that for Russia, the key question is who on the Ukrainian side will be authorized to sign possible documents.

He also noted that Kyiv and Moscow have agreed to exchange lists of conditions for a ceasefire, and work is ongoing in this direction. At the same time, he stressed that before holding a new round of negotiations "it is necessary to implement the agreements reached in Istanbul, including the exchange of prisoners 1 for 000."

In addition, he added that there have been no contacts between the leaders of Russia and the United States after the talks in Istanbul, and "the Kremlin will inform if Putin and Trump consider it appropriate to hold a telephone conversation."
