Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law allowing municipal carriers to use buses, trolleybuses, and trams that were provided as humanitarian aid (No. 4397-IX).
The new law will allow the use of transport already received as humanitarian aid and will ensure that communities will not refuse to continue receiving transport from benefactors.
The document provides:
- the right of municipal enterprises to officially carry out transportation by this means of transport.
- establishes requirements for the technical condition of buses (not lower than Euro-3).
- regulates the possibility of transferring transport to third parties.
- defines the boundaries of lawful use to avoid legal risks.
