US Department of Justice blamed two top managers of the American company Eleview International Inc. in the export of sanctioned technologies to Russia for 6,4 million dollars.
It is noted that Oleg Nayandin and Vitaly Borysenko conspired and developed three schemes to circumvent export restrictions imposed on Russia by shipping American goods and technologies through Kazakhstan, Turkey and Finland.
As the investigation established, in the period from March 2022 to June 2023, the persons involved administered the site of an online store that allowed customers from Russia to order products directly from American suppliers.
The goods arrived at a warehouse in the state of Virginia, and then were sent to alleged end users in Turkey, Finland and Kazakhstan. However, in the end, the products were received by customers from Russia, and Nayandin and Borysenko knew about it, they deliberately misled the authorities and forwarders.
It is reported that as part of the scheme with Turkey, the defendants exported $1,48 million worth of telecommunications equipment destined for the FSB. The Ministry of Justice noted that these products were later used by the Russian military to create and expand communication networks during the invasion of Ukraine.
Within the framework of the scheme with Finland, Russia received goods for the production of weapons worth 3,45 million dollars. In particular, it was about electronic components used in kamikaze drones.
According to the third scheme, US dual-purpose goods worth $1,47 million were sent to a Kazakh company that advertises equipment delivery services to Russia.
For their actions, they face up to 20 years in prison, the message adds.
