The Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on December 3 approved the draft state budget for 2026 for the second reading. Now the people's deputies must vote on the document. About this informed People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
"The Budget Committee voted the 2026 Budget to the second reading," he wrote.
According to him, in general, up to 75 minutes will be allocated for budget consideration, with most of the time taken up by discussion and direct decision-making.
"Next, two votes of 226+ (votes) are required, and then the budget will be considered adopted as a whole," he noted.
With People's Deputy Danylo Hetmantsev also confirmed, that the budget committee approved the draft state budget. According to him, several new items have appeared in the budget.
"We managed to increase teachers' salaries to 26 thousand hryvnias - this is the minimum wage. Without increasing the burden on them," — the People's Deputy reported.
Also, according to him, there is a decision on the share of personal income tax (personal income tax) that remains in local budgets. It will amount to 64% of the amount of tax paid, this money will remain in the budgets of communities.
In general, Hetmantsev noted, this is a “normal compromise wartime budget.” The main priority in it is security and defense, with “social welfare” in second place in the budget. The Rada expects the budget to be approved today, December 3.
