In the Kirovohrad region, the commander of one of the military units will be tried for overpaying 12 million hryvnias for fuel tanks. About this reported the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation, three participants submitted applications for the tender announced by the military unit for the purchase of fuel tanks. The winner was the offer from a private company with the lowest price.
However, after concluding the contracts, the merchants artificially inflated the cost of the products in the documentation. The military unit official did not check the change in the amount in the contract. Thus, the total amount of losses to the state reached almost 12 million hryvnias.
The official is accused of negligent attitude towards military service, which caused serious consequences, committed under martial law (Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Measures are being taken to compensate for the damage caused to the state. The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of up to 8 years of imprisonment.
