The Verkhovna Rada will not have time to make a decision that would save citizens from 17-25 thousand fines, People's Deputy Serhiy Yevtushok emphasized. In his opinion, the government will use another, faster method.
Citizens are unlikely to pay a fine of UAH 17 for not updating data in territorial collection centers (TCC). For these reasons, officials may extend the period during which information for military registration should be provided to the TCC. People's deputy from "Batkivshchyna" Serhii Yevtushok told about when they will wait for a decision and how it will be made on the air of the "News Live" portal.
Yevtushok explained that either the renewal period will be extended, or people will be forced to pay large fines. Citizens do not have such funds, they will not want to take loans to pay the TCC fine. Therefore, in his opinion, a new decision of the officials is expected. However, the politician noted that he is not 100 percent sure about this issue.
"The population is not ready to take out loans to pay fines, people simply don't have the money, and the fine is not small. Therefore, there will probably be some additional government decisions to extend this deadline," — said the People's Deputy.
The politician told when exactly the changes will take place. The Verkhovna Rada, which will meet on July 16, can put this issue to a vote. But if it is supported, it will take two more days for the decision to come into effect. According to him, the problem can be solved in a faster way: for example, the government will adopt a relevant resolution.
"I think it will be done by a government decree or some other document," he said.
It should be noted that according to the law on strengthening military registration and mobilization, Ukrainian citizens of conscription age had 60 days to update their military registration data. The deadline for this procedure is July 16.
