The plant of Chinese TPV Technology in Russia stopped production of Philips, Sony, Sharp and other brand TVs. About this reported the The Moscow Times.
The service department of TPV Technology confirmed that production at the plant in Shushari in the Leningrad Region was suspended, but the reason for this was not specified. The plant has been operating since 2011 and could produce up to 3,5 million TVs per year.
The Chinese side, due to the high risk of secondary sanctions, on the one hand, and the insignificance of the Russian market for TPV Technology, on the other hand, decided to stop direct sales in the country.
The reason was also the difficulties with paying for the components that were purchased in China.
