Cybercriminals have "cracked" the digital infrastructure of the Russian marketplace Wildberries, disrupting the customer service and payment system. About this reported the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram.
As reported by the GUR, on August 10-11, as part of an operation in Russian cyberspace, the masters of the Cyber Corps community attacked the digital infrastructure of the Wildberries company, which plays an important role in the logistics of the Russian Federation and the financing of the war against Ukraine.
Despite the serious level of protection of the facility, the attack led to large-scale failures - the main remote customer service channel was disrupted, the payment infrastructure was partially destabilized, and additional load was created on contact centers.
Massive complaints have been recorded, in particular due to the inability to make financial payments.
"The cyber operation amplified the effect of the kinetic attacks of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Wildberries warehouses, causing further significant losses to the company that fuels the aggressor's economy, and therefore the criminal war against Ukraine," noted in the GUR.
