SBI employees in interaction with the NACP reported a suspicion the former head of one of the central departments of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in illegal enrichment of over 12 million UAH.
In 2023–2024, the former official unjustifiably acquired assets, the legality of which he could not confirm. The assets include 14 land plots in the Kyiv region, an apartment, cars (TOYOTA TUNDRA, SKODA OCTAVIA, HYUNDAI TUCSON), as well as domestic government loan bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, issued in his name and in the name of his relatives.
In addition, during a search of the latter's residence, weapons and ammunition were discovered, which the latter was storing without a permit required by law.
The former official was informed of suspicion under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal enrichment) and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is currently being resolved. The Office of the Prosecutor General is responsible for the procedural management.
