Kellogg is going to Ukraine and what is known about Trump's "peace plan": the Foreign Ministry revealed the details

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Commented on Kellogg's Words on the Need for Concessions from Both Countries

US President Donald Trump's "peace plan" for Ukraine does not yet exist, its development is ongoing. The parameters of peace will be discussed at the Munich Security Conference. This was announced by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhyi, during a briefing.

The spokesman denied media claims that Trump's "peace plan" is supposedly ready and that US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg will present it at a conference in Munich.

"If General Kellogg himself had to deny that he would "present the plan" at the Munich Conference, he denied it yesterday, and I think that's an indicator that it's not a problem anymore, maybe the media, but rather the problem of the sources that are reporting it," — said the Silent One.

According to him, most of the reports about the alleged "peace plan" do not come from the US, Ukraine or Europe, but from the Russians. He called for a calmer attitude towards such information.

"There will be contacts with Keith Kellogg, with Waltz, with other representatives at various levels of the US administration, during which the things you are asking about will be determined. Is there any completed plan as of now? There is no such plan, as far as we understand. There are certain parameters, there is work, there is development," — said the Foreign Ministry spokesman.

Tykhyi added that while all this is still in the works, it is too early to report on the results. According to him, some of these parameters will be agreed upon during meetings with the US representative.

"We do not expect that there (at the Munich Security Conference, — ed.) there will be a presentation of some kind of completed peace plan. There will be a discussion of the real parameters of achieving a just peace. Ukraine will present its position. Perhaps this is why Munich is so important — it is an opportunity to convey Ukraine's position on this issue at the highest level. It will be conveyed," he added.

Georgy Tykhyi added that the US special representative Keith Kellogg will visit Ukraine after participating in the Munich Security Conference, which will take place February 14-16.

"There are working dates. We never announce the dates of visits in advance for security reasons, but we really expect this visit in February," — said the Silent One.

According to him, the Ukrainian delegation will have contacts with Kellogg at the Munich Conference. During his visit to Ukraine, he will be accompanied by a delegation, the composition of which is currently being formed:

"We expect contacts and after that this visit. I will not go into specific details and dates. I will simply confirm that the visit is very important. This is an opportunity for us to convey detailed information about the situation on the front, about our vision of the paths to a just and comprehensive peace. And we will definitely take advantage of this chance."

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also commented on Kellogg's words about the need for concessions from both countries, calling for a focus on concessions from Russia.

"Ukraine did not attack anyone. Ukraine was attacked. And the path to a just peace lies through the cessation of Russian aggression. We must first focus on how to stop this aggression and how to ensure that it does not happen again," — emphasized Tykhy.
