Air quality in Ukraine may deteriorate significantly in the near future. This is due to layers of dust that will arrive from the Sahara. The Boryspil Meteorological Station wrote about this on its page in the social network Facebook.
Part of this dust has already crossed the Ukrainian border and was recorded on the territory of Prykarpattia a day earlier. In the rest of the regions, a similar situation is expected to be recorded on April 1. And this despite the abnormally warm air temperature outside.
"The sky will be very dim. At the same time, abnormal heat up to +25 degrees is still expected." - says the message.
It is noteworthy that such a phenomenon affected not only the Ukrainian territory, as reported by DW. On March 30, the sky over part of Europe turned yellowish-orange. Sand dust also flew there from the Sahara desert.
In particular, we are talking about Germany, France and Switzerland. With such a sky, the inhabitants of the European continent also met Easter Sunday.
"Dust from the Sahara is already here, which can be seen behind the yellowish cloudiness in the air." - said Christian Herold, an employee of the German Meteorological Service.
Swiss meteorologists said that a total of approximately 180 tons of dust was recorded, which is twice as much as during similar dust storms in previous years.
