On November 23, the European Parliament will consider the resolution recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, what this decision will mean for the Russian Federation.
"The partners will make an absolutely pro-Ukrainian decision. That is, Russia will be called a terrorist country, this is important," said Podolyak.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, explained the negative effect for Russia of the status of a terrorist country.
"This will have an extremely negative impact on the reputation of the Russian Federation, because such a country, which is a terrorist country, will not be able to sponsor, for example, cultural, sports, political events. And for Russia, it is a key tool for influencing foreign elites. They were constantly sponsors of some international federations. This will not happen. This will be a marker for other states that there is no need to have any relations with a terrorist country in terms of reputation. And this will apply not only to Europe," the advisor emphasized.
He noted that there are very few countries that do not support the position of recognizing the Russian Federation as a terrorist country, so this will not affect the general process at all international platforms.
