The format of the negotiations on ending Russia's war against Ukraine has not yet been agreed. Therefore, it is currently unknown whether Europe will participate in the dialogue. European Commission representative Arianna Podesta stated this at briefing.
Podesta noted that EU representatives are in constant contact with Ukrainian officials and European leaders. Negotiations and contacts "continue at all levels."
She also commented on rumors about possible trilateral talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin without the participation of European representatives. According to her, “there has not been any decision on the format yet.”
"The format, the timing, the logistics — all of this is completely unclear at this stage. Everything is still in the process of being defined. So we will have to see how things develop. It is premature to talk about it now. So, of course, there can be no disappointment about what was not asked and was not decided," — the EC representative drew attention.
