The European Union does not plan to freeze funding for Ukraine. However, it considers it necessary to preserve the independence of anti-corruption bodies. This was stated by European Commission Speaker Guillaume Mercier at a briefing in Brussels.
"We have clearly outlined our position regarding recent events. I can confirm that there are no plans to freeze EU funding," — Mercier said.
At the same time, he emphasized that the most important thing right now is for Ukraine's anti-corruption bodies to remain independent, and for Ukraine to implement the necessary reforms to ensure supremacy.
