Fedorov headed the Ministry of Defense: 300 billion in losses, 2 million wanted and plans for drone modernization

The Ministry of Defense currently records losses in the amount of 300 billion hryvnias. In addition, about 2 million Ukrainians are wanted in connection with mobilization, and about 200 thousand servicemen have voluntarily left their units. This was stated by Mykhailo Fedorov in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during his election to the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Defense falls into my hands with minus 300 billion, with 2 million Ukrainians who are wanted and with 200 thousand in the North-West Frontier," — he noted.

According to him, in order to talk about the possibility of increasing payments to the military, it is necessary to conduct an audit and then predict further actions.

"That's why I don't want to be a populist, I want to be a realist," said Fedorov.

He also emphasized that it is necessary to urgently introduce new means, including drones, which will allow increasing the depth of damage to the enemy.

"This will be one of the first solutions. That is, analogues of the Russian "Molnii" should appear here. We have a large number of manufacturers who do this. We need to saturate the army with long-range drones on fiber optics," — Fedorov emphasized.

At the same time, he noted that it is necessary to introduce a minimum level of support for each brigade so that they can predict their actions for the coming months.

"Today, 80% of the support is received by a certain number of units. And we need to align this schedule so that all units have a sufficient number of drones to work on their sector of the front," — said Fedorov.

As a reminder, today, January 14, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Mykhailo Fedorov to the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine. 277 people's deputies voted for this.
