The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, is convinced that US President-elect Donald Trump will not allow the Russian Federation to destroy Ukraine. He stated this during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Warsaw. writes "Society".
The politician recalled that the United States made a significant contribution to the support of Ukraine, "huge funds, military equipment and financial assistance" were provided.
"It is his duty to respect this money. I cannot imagine that President Donald Trump will allow Russia to destroy Ukraine. Ukraine, in which the American taxpayer, for whose money President Donald Trump will soon be responsible when he takes office, has invested such huge sums. This is a matter of respect for American taxpayers' money," — explained Duda.
According to him, during his meeting with the American leader, he plans to talk about Ukraine. In particular, he wants to convey the side of neighboring countries that "are in the zone of Russian aggression against Ukraine."
"I will present, of course, not only in the context of the situation in Ukraine itself, but also the situation in our part of Europe, our point of view, our neighbors, what is happening in our country in general, and also in this context of American interests," — the Polish president noted.
As Duda added, he is calm about the future conversation with Trump and about his political decisions.
"I have no doubt that these will be wise decisions." he concluded.
