The “Diya” application will send notifications to Ukrainians if their data is checked in the registers. The reason for the checks will also be indicated. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in Telegram.
"We will soon launch a notification in "Diya" so that you can see who viewed the information in the registers and for what purpose. The government has adopted a resolution launching a subsystem for monitoring data access in "Trembit", — the department's statement says.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs emphasized that this is important because Ukrainians will know how the state works with their data. It is also an additional protection, because every fact of exchange will be recorded in the system, therefore making any fraudulent schemes impossible.
How the innovation will work
The department gave an example: when Ukrainians apply for a service at a state agency and personal data is required for this, the employee makes a request to the registry. The Trembita system records this request - a notification with full information will be sent to the Diia application: who made the request, when, and for what purpose.
Notifications about access to data will not be received by "Diya" in cases related to criminal investigation, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, or pre-trial investigation.
A similar service is already operating in Estonia — Data Tracker. The Ministry of Digital Affairs promised to announce the launch of the service separately.
