SBI employees have completed a pre-trial investigation into the former director of the State Enterprise "Svalyavske Forestry", who caused losses to local budgets in the amount of over 4,1 million UAH, official sites of both clubs report in the department.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation, the indictment has now been sent to court.
Law enforcement officials report that in 2018, amendments were made to the Tax Code, according to which forest lands are subject to land tax. However, the director, contrary to the law, has not paid this tax since 2018. He did not correct the situation in subsequent years, when he had the opportunity to submit clarifying tax returns. Thus, the total amount of losses to local communities, including penalties, amounted to more than 4,1 million UAH.
The former director is accused of abuse of office (Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanctions of the articles provide for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to six years.
During the pre-trial investigation, the damages were fully compensated.
