DBR exposed the battalion commander of one of the military units of Odesa, who used subordinate soldiers to build his private house.
Thus, since August 2022, the deputy commander of the military unit instructed the soldiers, instead of fulfilling their duties for the defense and protection of Ukraine, to build an estate for him near Odesa.
While military personnel worked as construction workers, they were paid wages as military personnel. In this way, the state suffered losses in the amount of more than UAH 2 million.
Currently, the deputy commander has been notified of suspicion of abuse of official position and excess of official authority (Part 2 of Article 364, Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years.
Procedural management is carried out by the Odesa specialized prosecutor's office in the field of defense of the Southern region.
