About 13% of the participants of the national multi-subject test could not overcome the threshold score in at least one subject, and accordingly, lost the chance to enter higher education institutions.
About this informed Oleg Sharov, director general of the Directorate of Vocational Pre-Higher and Higher Education of the MES, commenting on the decrease in the number of this year's entrants to the bachelor's degree.
"They are now looking for happiness in the systems of professional pre-higher and professional (vocational-technical) education. Many of them expect to obtain a higher education on the basis of a professional junior bachelor's degree and, possibly, experience in practical professional activity." - noted Sharov.
According to him, this year's NMT was more demanding compared to last year's.
As you know, in 2024 it was necessary to provide at least 15% correct answers in each subject, while in 2023 the threshold was 10% correct answers.
